Established on November 17, 1955, by founding President James W. Mulvey, the NYCD Emerald Society brings together members of the New York City Department of Correction in friendship, service, and celebration of Irish heritage. We proudly preserve our history, support education, honor public service, and participate in the traditions of the Irish-American community.

Scholarship Programs
