Membership Criteria
NYC Correction Department MOS or Civilian employees only
A) Regular membership– Any active or Retired Member of
Service (retired or resigned after honorable and faithful service)
of the Department with Irish Ancestry. Any Civilian employee
Active or Retired (retired or resigned after honorable and faithful service) of the Department with Irish Ancestry.
B) Associate Membership– Any Active or Retired
MOS/Civilian Employee (retired or resigned after honorable and faithful service) of the Department with “Irish Spirit”. Associate members have no voting rights and cannot be nominated or elected to any office.
Active and Retired NYCD MOS and Civilian Employees who are renewing their membership please fill out the 2026 dues form.

APPLICATION TO JOIN
Active and Retired NYCD MOS and Civilian Employees who wish to join the Emerald Society for the first time or rejoin after not being in good standing for over three years, please fill out an application to join.
*ESS Users: PLEASE DO NOT USE THE ESS PAYROLL DEDUCTION*
We have several issues with ESS and would rather not use it until changes are made.
